How do I request for a cheque book?

A cheque book request can be placed in the following ways:

1. SMS : SMS <CHQBK> space <last 6 digits of your account no.> from your registered mobile number. (For e.g. – CHQBK 123456). Send the SMS to the numbers basis your location as below:

a. +91 9717000002 - If you are sending the SMS from abroad

b. 5676782 - If you are sending the SMS from India

2. Axisbank.com/Support: Support Home Page >> Get It Done Instantly >> Click on Cheque Book Request >> Enter Registered Mobile Number >> Enter OTP >> Select Account >> Click on Submit >> Cheque Book will be issued and delivered.

(You can also scroll up and click on ‘Request A Cheque Book Using Registered Mobile No.’  to use this option)

3. Chat with Axis Aha!: Click on Axis Aha! icon below or on axisbank.com >> Type “Order Cheque Book” >> Login with you Internet Banking credentials or MPIN >> In case of multiple accounts, select the account for which you need to order the cheque book for >> Verify your details and click on “Confirm” >> Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number >> Your cheque book will be ordered

4. Axis Mobile App : Select New Cheque Book through Savings / Current Account under Services from Menu Option

5. Internet Banking : Select Cheque Book Request from Request For option through Services >> Select Account Number & No. of Leaves >> Enter NetSecure Code & Submit

I have not received my Cheque Book. What do I do?

1.  Click here to find a list of our NRI contact numbers under the ‘Call Us’ section and connect with us for assistance.

2.  Write to us by clicking on the Chat tab below


If you are unable to request for a cheque book via Internet Banking, this could be because:

•  Account would not have been 6 months since opening 

•  More than 40 unused cheque leaves remaining in the current cheque book

•  Address was changed in the last 1 month

•  You may be opting for a cheque book for a Minor account and Internet Banking does not have cheque book issue facility for Minor Accounts

•  Account should not be under debit balance/inactive/dormant/closed state 

•  Only one successful attempt is allowed per day for Cheque book issuance.

•  There should be no lien on the account

•  In case address was updated less than a month ago cheque book request cannot be submitted
